Investigation Committee into the Events of Al-Gezira State's Kambo Taiba Takes Oath Before TSC Vice-President
The chairman and members of the Investigation Committee into the Events that recently took place in Kambo Taiba in Al-Gezira State were sworn in before Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander Malik Agar, in Portsudan Saturday, based on the decision issued by TSC President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, to form the committee.
The head of the Committee, Yassir Bashir Al-Bukhari, First Assistant to the Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan, confirmed in a press statement that the committee will start its mission immediately, by interrogating witnesses, hearing their statements, collecting evidence, and determining all the reasons, circumstances and conditions that led to the events, assessing the losses, and taking all necessary measures to enforce the law, indicating that the judicial and regulatory bodies will work to achieve justice and establish the rule of law.
President Al-Burhan, had issued a decision forming the committee, headed by Yasseir Bashir Al-Bukhari, First Assistant to the Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan, and the membership of others.
