TSC President Meets Chinese Ambassador to Sudan
President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, met on Tuesday with the Chinese Ambassador to Sudan, Zhang Xianhua. Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Idris Ismail, said in a press statement, that the meeting discussed ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, particularly in oil extraction following the arrival of South Sudan's oil to Bashayer Port. He added that President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council conveyed a message to the Chinese President in this regard. The Acting Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs indicated that the Chinese Ambassador praised the efforts made by the Sudanese government to achieve peace and stability and end the war. For his part, the Chinese Ambassador said that the meeting touched on aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries and ways to activate, deepen, and enhance it in various fields, as well as ways to implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, which was held last year with the participation of TSC President. The Chinese Ambassador pointed to the joint coordination between the relevant ministries in Sudan to implement these outcomes. "Sudan has achieved further progress and accomplishments in the spheres of security, stability, and peace," Zhang Xianhua said, noting that his country appreciates these tireless efforts to achieve development and peace.
