TSC President Receives Official Invitation to Visit Egypt
President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, received a written message on Wednesday from his brother, Egyptian President, Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, containing an official invitation to visit the Arab Republic of Egypt in the coming period. The message also included an affirmation of Egypt's support for Sudan during these difficult circumstances. This came during his meeting with the Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan, Hani Salah, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Ali Youssef. Ambassador Hani Salah explained, in a press statement, that General Al-Burhan welcomed the invitation, indicating that the Sudanese and Egyptian sides will work to ensure proper arrangements for this visit. He added that the meeting addressed developments in Sudan, including the situation in Darfur and the London Conference on Sudan, which was held on Tuesday.
The Egyptian Ambassador stated that he briefed President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council on the course of bilateral relations and the ongoing arrangements for holding the second edition of the Sudanese-Egyptian Business Forum. Ambassador Salah said that his country supports Sudan based on the fraternal ties that bind the two brotherly peoples. He added, "We want to transform the crisis that Sudan is going through, which the world calls forgotten, into a crisis that will not be forgotten." He praised the sacrifices and steadfastness of the Sudanese people in this crisis and the solidarity and cooperation of its people to rebuild what was destroyed by the war.
