Police: No exceptions in transfer of police Directorates to Khartoum State

No exceptions in transfer of police Directorates to Khartoum State

Acting Director General of Police Forces, Lt. Gen. (Police) Mohamed Ibrahim Awadallah, has affirmed that the goal of transferring police Directorates to Khartoum State is to improve the work environment in police Directorates. He explained that all Directorates have been relocated to Khartoum State to provide services to citizens. He added that there are no exceptions regarding the transfer of police Directorates to Khartoum State, except for some technical Directorates working in the Civil Registry. During the 23rd regular forum of the Ministry of Culture and Information, organized by the Sudan News Agency on Monday, the Acting Director General of Police Forces pointed out that the various police Directorates will work to provide a safe and reassuring environment for citizens. Lt. Gen. Awadallah described the phenomenon of individuals impersonating police officers as limited and inconvenient. He indicated that a joint force from various regular forces has conducted joint campaigns to detect such cases, should they occur. He assured that the police will work to detect such cases should they arise. He explained that no such phenomenon was detected during their recent visit to Khartoum State, noting that if it does occur, it will be dealt with firmly and decisively.
The Acting Director General of the Police Forces emphasized the importance of community police at this stage, as it is the primary nucleus in combating crime and detecting any violations. He called on citizens to participate and contribute to ensuring security in cities and villages. Awadallah added that the Ministry attaches great importance to scientific research, not only in legal aspects but also in other disciplines, due to its role in developing police work in all its aspects.
Lt. Gen. Police Mohamed Ibrahim Awadallah highlighted the steps taken by the police to improve the working environment for its personnel by enhancing recruitment requirements. He noted the formation of a committee to address these requirements, with the aim of developing work to achieve a police force with advanced training and providing distinguished services to citizens. He pointed out that life has returned to normal in Khartoum State in a reassuring manner, with the opening of schools and hospitals in the state. He highlighted the tireless work that has been undertaken to remove war remnants, clean and sterilize streets, and remove bombs. He pointed out that the current phase is one of community policing, with its role in combating crime and detecting any violations and anything that disturbs the peace of society. He called on communities to participate in establishing security.
