TSC President Affirms Sudan’s Commitment to Strengthening Relations with Türkiye

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, has affirmed Sudan’s keenness to enhance and promote its relations with Türkiye in a manner that serves the interests of both peoples and advances the fields of joint cooperation.
This came during his meeting on Sunday in his office with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Sudan, Fatih Yildiz, where they discussed the course of bilateral relations and ways to support and develop them further.
The Turkish ambassador stated that the meeting covered several issues of mutual concern, noting that it also addressed the siege imposed by the Rapid Support (RSF) militia on El-Fashir. He stressed the need for the international community to act to lift the siege and end the suffering of Sudanese people during these difficult times.
Ambassador Yildiz added that the meeting also touched on cooperation between Türkiye and Sudan, pointing out the facilities provided by Sudan for the opening of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) offices in the country, the establishment of a Turkish bank in Port Sudan, and the inauguration of Turkish Airlines operations in Sudan.
