Foreign Ministry Summons UN Resident Coordinator’s Representative for Humanitarian Affairs in Sudan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation summoned on Wednesday, 22 October 2025, Ms. Gemma San Martin, the Representative of the UN Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Sudan, following the release of the September 2025 report issued by the Resident Coordinator’s Office on Humanitarian action in Sudan.
The report contained inaccurate information regarding the efforts made by the Sudanese government to facilitate humanitarian operations and ensure full coordination with organizations operating in the country.
Ms. San Martin apologized for the unintentional error in the report and pledged to address the issue with the concerned bodies on their side.
She also affirmed the cooperation and full coordination of the Government of Sudan with UN agencies
