The Republic of Sudan
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Office of the Spokesperson and Media Directorate
Press Statement
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs follows with keen interest and appreciation the successive international positions rejecting any threats to the Sudan's sovereignty, unity and the existing national legitimacy through a plot to form an authority in the name of the Janjaweed militia and its affiliates, fomented in Kenya under the supervision of the regional sponsor of the militia.
In this regard, the Ministry commends the principled and strong positions expressed by Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and the African member states of the Security Council: Algeria, Somalia, and Sierra Leone, as well as the positions of other member states, including Russia, China, the United States, the United Kingdom and Guyana, as well as the statement issued by Türkiye.
These clear positions affirm that the Kenyan Presidency's irresponsible stance in embracing the genocidal RSF militia, seeking to legitimize its unprecedented atrocities is isolated both externally and internally. This, however, places Kenya in the category of a rogue state that defies international norms.
The Ministry renew its to call to all members of the international community and regional and international organizations, especially the African Union, to condemn this grave threat to regional peace and security and the tampering with the well-established principles of the international order.
