TSC President issues decision reforming the Joint National Committee for Humanitarian Emergencies
President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, issued a decision on Wednesday to re-form the Joint National Committee for Humanitarian Emergencies, headed by Lt. Gen. Al-Sadig Ismail Mahmoud, and the membership of the Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Health, Social Development, Federal Governance, Agriculture and Forestry, Culture and Information and Transport, in addition to representatives of the relevant organs, institutions and bodies.
The committee is responsible for ensuring the technical and logistical readiness at the crossings in terms of facilities and workers and close coordination between the relevant ministries, bodies and institutions in order to facilitate the flow of humanitarian aid.
The committee is also responsible for developing detailed lists that determine the country's humanitarian needs in accordance with the state's higher policies and plans, determining the national strategic objectives of the humanitarian response plan, participating with the United Nations organizations and national and international organizations, preparing a matrix of projects to be implemented and their costs, approving them with the United Nations organizations and their partners, and following up on their implementation.
