TSC President Meets Spanish Ambassador to Sudan

TSC President, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, met today with Spanish Ambassador to Sudan, Isidro Antonio, in the presence of Ambassador Ahmed Yousif, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them further.
Following the meeting, the Spanish Ambassador said in a press statement that he conveyed Spain’s message of support for peace following the end of the war and the return of displaced persons and refugees to their areas. He added that the meeting also addressed the Sudan-Spain relationship and the potential role of his country in post-war reconstruction efforts.
The Ambassador expressed his hopes for Sudan’s return to a democratic civilian transition and for enabling civilians to play their rightful role in various fields. He affirmed Spain’s support for the Sudanese people in overcoming the current crisis and highlighted the importance of ending the war, which has severely damaged the country’s infrastructure and essential services.
