Foreign Minister Holds Telephone Call with Greek Foreign Minister
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohy-Eddin Salim, held a telephone call on Wednesday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Mr. George Chyrapateritis. The discussion covered bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them across various fields.
The two ministers reviewed the latest regional and international developments of mutual interest and reaffirmed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between their countries to advance bilateral relations.
They also touched on the latest developments in Sudan, where the Foreign Minister provided his Greek counterpart with a brief update on key events and on the grave violations committed by the terrorist rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia—acts amounting to genocide in some areas of Sudan, most recently in the city of Al-Fashir.
Both ministers reiterated their commitment to enhancing joint cooperation and strengthening communication mechanisms between the two countries in a manner that serves the interests of the two nations and their friendly peoples.
The call concluded with agreement to maintain communication in the coming period to follow up on bilateral cooperation files.
