Foreign Minister holds bilateral meetings with a number of ministers in Munich
As part of his participation in the Munich Security Conference, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ali Youssef has held a series of bilateral meetings that included Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Dr. Badr Abdel-Aati, the head of the Qatari delegation and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohamed Abdullah Al-Khulaifi, German Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Thomas Baqer, and the European Union Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Ms. Anita Weber.
The meetings discussed developing Sudan’s relations with the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt and the sisterly State of Qatar and continuing positive engagement with the Federal Republic of Germany, which has continued to provide humanitarian aid to Sudan.
The Foreign Minister explained, during the meetings, that the armed forces and supporting forces currently have the initiative and have been able to liberate most of the cities and areas of the states of Al-Gezira, Sennar and Khartoum, stressing that the armed forces and supporting forces are determined to liberate the entire Sudanese territory from the filth of the rebel militia, backed by the support and assistance of the Sudanese people.
The Minister expressed Sudan’s appreciation for the Egyptian and Qatari positions supporting the unity and stability of Sudan.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Foreign Affairs called on the European Union to engage in fruitful and constructive dialogue with Sudan in a way that supports its peace and stability, as it is an important country in the regional environment.
The Minister participated in the opening sitting of the 61st session of the conference, which was addressed by the President of the Conference, Ambassador Christoph Huesgen, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, US Vice President J.D. Vance, and President of the European Union Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
