Inviting its Parliamnent Speaker to visit Sudan, Foreign Minister praises Iranian support for Sudan
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Ali Youssef met Monday with the Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, at the beginning of his visit to Iran, in the presence of a number of members of the Iranian Parliament.
Qalibaf welcomed the Minister and his accompanying delegation, expressing his pleasure on reopening of the embassies of the two countries and development of the Sudanese-Iranian relations.
The Iranian Parliament Speaker also expressed his sympathy for the war and instability taking place in Sudan as a result of external conspiracies being hatched against the country.
For his part, Foreign Minister, expressed his happiness for his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, congratulating the Parliament Speaker on the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Iranian Islamic Revolution.
Ambassador Dr. Ali Youssef extended briefing on the situation in Sudan, thanking Iran for its support for Sudan, hoping that it plays aleading role in the reconstruction phase in Sudan, extending invitation to the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly to visit Sudan.
