Press Statement
The Government of Sudan welcomes the recent decision of the United State’s administration to impose sanctions on Algoni Daglo, brother of the (RSF) Janjaweed militia leader, and the militia's finance and procurement supervisor, for his role in fueling the ongoing war, and the heinous atrocities and violations committed by the militia against civilians.
This decision marks a significant step in the right direction. The Government of Sudan calls for these measures to be extended to include all the leaders of this terrorist militia, and also those providing it with weapons and financial support, enabling the recruitment of foreign mercenaries to kill the Sudanese people.
