Prime Minister Directs Rehabilitation of Botanical Garden Within Two Months, Orders Return of Flower Exhibition

Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris has directed the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation to rehabilitate the Botanical Garden within two months and to relocate the Flower Exhibition back to its premises.
The directive came during his visit Tuesday afternoon to the Flower Exhibition at Marina Gardens in Khartoum, accompanied by Wali of Khartoum State Ahmed Othman Hamza, Prime Minister’s advisers Nizar Abdullah Mohammed and Ambassador Badr-Eddin Al-Jie'ai'fri.
The Prime Minister affirmed the Hope Government’s commitment to advancing the agricultural sector, describing it as the driving force of the national economy.
He stated that the reopening of the Flower Exhibition represents practical evidence of life returning to normal in the country, and renewed his call for Sudanese citizens living abroad to undertake voluntary return to the national capital, Khartoum.
Professor Kamil Idris commended the active and productive participation of women in the exhibition and encouraged them to increase output in handicrafts and small industries. He also praised young people as the hope of the present and the future, and lauded UNICEF for its role and continued support to Sudan and its people.
The Prime Minister and the accompanying delegation toured the exhibition sections, which featured various types of plants, handicrafts, and artisanal products, with participation from several states across the country.
