TSC President Meets Kuwaiti Ambassador to Sudan

The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met on Wednesday at his office in Khartoum with the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Sudan, Fahd Mashari Al-Dhafiri, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mohi-Eddin Salem. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the trajectory of bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed ways to support, develop, and strengthen them in a manner that serves the shared interests of the two brotherly peoples.
The TSC President praised Kuwait’s supportive positions toward Sudan in international and regional forums, highlighting the distinguished and solid bilateral relations between the two countries. For his part, the Kuwaiti ambassador told the press that he conveyed a message from the Kuwaiti leadership concerning the attacks and aggressions faced by Kuwait and other Gulf countries from Iran. He noted that the TSC President affirmed Sudan’s condemnation of these aggressions, stressing Sudan’s full solidarity with Kuwait and the Gulf states, and supporting their right to take necessary measures to deter any acts of aggression. In a related context, the Kuwaiti ambassador extended his congratulations to the TSC President on the government’s return to Khartoum and the resumption of its official functions and activities from the capital. He commended Sudan’s leadership and people, describing their stance as noble and one that will remain etched in the memory of Kuwait’s leadership and people.
The ambassador reiterated his country’s firm position in support of Sudan’s unity, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity, noting Kuwait’s humanitarian role toward Sudanese brothers, especially during the war period.
