Blue Nile Region Governor Confirms Stability in Border Areas
The Security Committee of Blue Nile State held a meeting on Wednesday at the Council of Ministers’ Hall in the state Secretariat, chaired by the Governor and Committee Chairman, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Al-Omda Badi. Governor Badi affirmed that the state is secure, contrary to claims circulated by hostile media, and confirmed stability across all border areas adjacent to South Sudan and Ethiopia. He announced imminent developments that will facilitate the return of citizens to their communities, noting ongoing efforts to extend control over border areas to ensure safe resettlement and the resumption of normal activities.
The governor congratulated citizens on Eid al-Fitr and urged them to disregard malicious rumors spread by adversaries. He called on the public to support the armed forces in maintaining stability and strengthening the social fabric and urged all native administration leaders to raise awareness and mobilize communities in defense of the nation’s sanctities.
