The Armed Forces Repel Attacks in Darfur and South Kordofan

The General Command of the Sudanese Armed Forces said its troops, alongside joint forces, continued operations across multiple fronts over the past 24 hours, repelling attacks by the Al-Dagalo militia and allied mercenaries while inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment.
In a statement, the army said militia forces launched a large-scale attack on its positions in Al-Tina, Darfur, but were repelled, with troops pursuing the attackers and inflicting significant losses. A total of 35 combat vehicles were destroyed and 49 others seized, in addition to dozens of enemy fighters killed.
The army added that its forces also repelled an attack in Al-Dalang, South Kordofan, following a fierce battle, destroying five combat vehicles and capturing four others, along with a number of motorcycles and communications equipment. It said its forces engaged in heavy fighting against militia elements in Bara, North Kordofan, before redeploying outside the city based on field assessments, after inflicting substantial losses on the opposing forces.
The statement added that ground-based air defences shot down a hostile strategic drone over El-Obeid earlier in the day.
The armed forces affirmed that operations will continue with determination until the militia and its allies are eliminated and security and stability are restored across the country.
