Government of Hope Affirms Commitment to Overcoming Private Sector's Challenges
The Economic Committee, in its meeting on Sunday in Port Sudan chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris, reaffirmed the Government of Hope’s commitment to overcoming the challenges facing the private sector to enable it to play its pivotal role in driving the country's economic development.
The meeting heard reports from representatives of the Sudanese Businessmen and Employers Federation, presented by the directors of DAL Group and Seen Flour Mills Company. The reports highlighted the private sector’s contributions to achieving food security in the country and outlined the major challenges facing the sector in the areas of import and export.
The committee also heard remarks from companies engaged in gold production and export, which discussed the challenges facing the sector and emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between the public and private sectors to maximize overall returns to the national economy.
The meeting touched on the need to uphold national values and promote joint efforts to achieve the desired economic reform, particularly in light of the exceptional circumstances the country is going through.
