Foreign Minister: Sudan to Participate in Important Conferences Next April
Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ali Youssef confirmed Sudan's participation in a number of important foreign conferences and meetings next April.
The Minister indicated, in a statement to SUNA, that the important economic conference, which will be held in Antalya, Turkey, next April with the participation of heads of state and foreign ministers, will be attended by President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council.(TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan.
The Foreign Minister added that the conference sessions will include the participation of the Sudanese Foreign Minister as a keynote speaker in a symposium on humanitarian aid in conflict zones, highlighting the importance of the meeting and meetings with officials from other countries. He pointed out that Sudan will also participate in several other activities next April, including meetings of more than 40 European, African, and Arab countries to discuss migration issues and other issues of concern to these countries. The meeting will be held on April 9. He explained that the first meeting of the group was held in Khartoum, which is why the meetings are called the Khartoum Process.
The Foreign Minister said this is the first time in more than three years that Sudan has participated, due to the events taking place in Sudan. Ambassador Youssef added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' activities include participating in a meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers, which will be held on April 10. He described the meeting as important and that it will issue a decision regarding Sudan, pointing to its regular and supportive decision for Sudan.
