Foreign Minister receives Türkiye and Indonesia ambassadors
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Dr. Ali Youssef, has received in his office on Sunday, the ambassadors of the Republic of Turkey to Sudan, Al -Fatih Yildiz, and the Republic of Indonesia, Muhammad Sonarko, where the joint meeting discussed a number of issues listed on the agenda of the up coming Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), hosted by Türkiye during June 21 - 22, 2025.
During the meeting, it was agreed on the importance of tightening coordination and unifying visions towards the issues that the summit will discuss, in order to enhance the joint Islamic action.
The Minister also expressed Sudan's thanks to the two sister states for their efforts in preparing for the summit activities, stressing Sudan's keenness to support the OIC efforts to unify the word of the Islamic nation and enhance solidarity between member states to face the current and future challenges.
Meanwhile, the minister extended briefings on the developments of the situation in Sudan, stressing that the military operations are nearing the end of the rebellion, due to Allah Almighty help and then the valor of the Sudanese armed forces and the forces supporting them, and the Sudanese people standing behind their national leadership. He also reviewed the steps taken by the regular forces to purify the capital, Khartoum, from the desecration of the rebel militia and the restoration of sovereign sites and service and diplomatic facilities, which are being secured until diplomatic missions return to carry out their duties as soon as the clearance operations are completed. In the same context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs briefed the ambassadors on the state's efforts to reconstruction and restore life to normal in various sectors, pointing to government plans aimed at addressing the effects of war and accelerating development operations, reflecting Sudan's commitment to restore stability and advancement of the country.
