Khartoum, Nov.17(SUNA)- The Acting Planning Under- sectary at Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr Amin Salih Yassin , has announced that Sudan has received a grant and loan of 80 million dollars from the International Fund for Agricultural Development(IFAD) in support of Sudan to combat poverty, realize food security, create work opportunities and protect environment.
This came while he was addressing the National Workshop about “Implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals” organized by the Financial and Economic Studies Academy. Dr. Amin reiterated important roles of youth of the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) , women, and organizations of civil society in achieving the sustainable development. He said all experiences capacities of the Sudanese society and money flows through international economic partnerships should be directed towards realizing the sustainable development in Sudan. Dr. Amin explained that the development depends on 17 goals which could arranged in three dimensions –economic, social and environmental dimension- which were the main references for working out the Development Plan 2021-2023 for Sudan Economy. The Undersecretary of Planning reaffirmed importance of coordination between the partners in the public and private sectors to achieve the sustainable development. AB/AB
