The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq Ali, chaired meeting of the governance and administration sector of the Council of Ministers yesterday, where the sector approved the draft of the five-year national strategy on finding solutions for the IDPs, returnees, refugees and host communities, which was prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The strategy aims to create good conditions for the displaced, returnees, and refugees by finding solutions that allow them to rebuild their lives in safety, dignity, independence, and full harmony with the societies that host them.
The meeting stressed the importance of the strategy in finding solutions to problems related to displacement, which contribute to achieving stability and development in the country, in addition to the need to monitor the transit movement at the borders of Sudan and the importance of reviewing and activating the laws related to controlling the movement of foreign presence in the country, and working to attract support of the international community to finance programs to adjust the conditions of refugees to ensure the implementation of the projects and programs of the strategy.
