Khartoum, Dec. 15 (SUNA) - Participants in the meeting of the Council of Arab Economic Unity in its 114th session, which concluded its work today in the Friendship Hall under the slogan (Towards Closer Cooperation for the Sustainability of Arab Food Security), praised Sudan's hosting of this session, the organization and hospitality it witnessed, and the discussions and recommendations that contribute to Arab cooperation.
The Chairman of the Council of Economic Unity, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Nabi, praised during his address in the conclusion of the meeting, the Sudan for handing over the presidency of this session, congratulating the government and people of Sudan for the success of this meeting, which came out with many recommendations.
He welcomed the return of the State of Libya to the Council, which coincided with the convening of the Khartoum meeting, noting that Libya is an important country that we welcome according to its resources and capabilities.
The Assistant Secretary-General of the Council of Economic Unity, Dr. Mariam Al-Imam, commended the efforts made by the Ministry of Finance and Sudan's hosting of the meeting, appreciating participation of the Arab countries, stressing that Sudan is able with the cooperation with the Arab countriesto achieve food security.
The ambassadors participating in the meeting have praised Sudan's hosting of the meeting, its organization and coordination, declaring full support for Sudan for stability and food security.
