 Iinternational Forum for Investment and Sustainable Development in Sudan concludes session

Khartoum, Dec. 15 (SUNA) - The International Forum for Investment and Sustainable Development in Sudan concluded its session today in Khartoum, in the presence of Member of the Sovereignty Council, Al-Taher Hajar and Head of the Council of Arab Economic Unity, Mohammedy Elni. Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Ehlam Madani stressed during her address to the conclusion of the forum the importance of the Council of Arab Economic Unity in developing relations, especially economic relations and the food security initiative that Sudan signed in 2013 and which the Arab summit in Algeria recently reaffirmed.
The Minister of Investment renewed her readiness to overcome all obstacles facing projects and investments in the country. She stressed that the Sudanese government encourages investment, especially Arab investments that call for achieving the goals of the Arab initiative for Arab food security, referring to the investment law and the amendments that were introduced to be attractive and encouraging to investors, which has a clear impact on investment, especially in the field of food security.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sharif, Director of Partnerships between the Public and Private Sectors, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Finance, affirmed the Ministry's keenness to implement Arab initiatives to achieve food security in accordance with the state's priorities, stressing the importance of commitment to implementation according to a clear vision and action plan, affirming opening of the door for partnerships. He stressed keenness to implement the Arab food security initiative in Sudan through various mechanisms, and reiterated the importance of investment partnerships with Arab countries. Head of the Union of Arab Exporters and Importers Amal Zaki Hassan, also affirmed readiness of the union to meet the Sudanese needs through its various offices.
