Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Daffallah Al-Haj Ali, met yestarday in his office with the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, Khardiata Lo Ep Ndiaye on the occasion of the end of her term of office in Sudan.
The UN official expressed her appreciation and thanks for the fruitful cooperation she received from all officials in Sudan during her nearly two-year tenure, which was full of achievements despite the challenges ahead, stressing her full confidence that Sudan will move towards stability, thanks to the wisdom of its leadership and the good qualities of its people.
The FM Undersecretary expressed his appreciation for the appreciated efforts made by Kharadiata during her term of office in Sudan. He reviewed with the UN official the political developments in Sudan, stressing that the coming period will witness more constructive developments, leading to the elections. He expressed his confidence that the existing partnership between Sudan and the United Nations will witness further development in light of the high position she will hold as Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and responsible for Africa. At the end of the meeting, he affirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue fruitful coordination and cooperation with the United Nations Mission in Sudan, in accordance with Sudan's interests and development priorities.
