Human Rights National Mechanism issues statement on occasion of International Human Rights Day

The National Mechanism for Human Rights issued, yesterday, a statement on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day.

The statement stressed that Sudan, is an active member of the international community in the field of promoting and protecting human rights, noting that Sudan seeks to make more efforts to make the right to development a reality, and that all peoples live on an equal footing, especially those who faced the hardships and scourges of wars and emerged from them seeking a better future for their people and the entire human family.
The statement indicated that the National Human Rights Mechanism will work hard to promote human rights in Sudan, adding that this year's slogan for celebrating the International Day is (dignity, freedom and justice for all), which is the same slogan that indicates Sudan's tendencies to freedom, peace, and justice, and with which the Sudan works for protecting and promoting human rights.
