Egypt welcomes signing of political framework agreement in Sudan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, issued yesterday, statement welcoming the signing of the political framework agreement regarding the transitional period in Sudan.
The statement stressed that the agreement is an important and pivotal step for laying down bases of the governance structures in Sudan.
Egypt expressed its full support for the agreement, and its willingness to cooperate with the various Sudanese parties in their efforts to build on it in order to reach a final agreement that fulfills the aspirations of the Sudanese people and enhances Sudan's role in supporting peace and stability in the region and the African continent.
The Arab Republic of Egypt in its Foreign Ministry’s statement expressed its sincere wishes that the agreement marks the beginning of a new phase of stability and prosperity for the Sudanese people, in light of the historical ties linking the two sisterly countries and the unity of the fate of the peoples of the Nile Valley.
Egypt has called in the statement on the parties of the international community to provide all elements of support to the Sudan,” in a way that enables it to cross the transitional stage with success, and achieve the interest of all sects of the Sudanese people of all its sects” the statement indicated.
