Khartoum, Nov. 22 (SUNA) - The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met today in his office with the Director of the Africa and Indian Ocean Department at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mr. Christophe Bigot, and the Director of the Sub-Saharan Africa and Sahel Region Department at the German Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Christoph Retzlaff , in the presence of the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq.
Ambassador Christoph Retzlaff said in a press statement that Germany and France are committed to advancing the ongoing efforts to resume the transition process in Sudan, stressing his country's readiness to support the transitional process, noting that he conveyed these commitments during his meetings with the President of the TSC and his deputy. On his part, the Director of the Africa Department at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, indicated that France and Germany are making appreciable efforts to support the transition process in Sudan, referring to the conferences held in Paris and Berlin to support Sudan during the transitional period, asserting that the efforts made by the two countries are in favor of the democratic transition in Sudan, pointing to the commitments made by the European Union in support of democracy in Sudan, adding that they heard to what the President and Vice-President of the TSC said and their assurances of the need for the participation of the main parties in the dialogue process in order to reach solutions that achieve the goals of democratic transition.
