Djibouti, Nov. 15 (SUNA) - The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, the envoy of the President of the Transitional Council to the IGAD countries, Lieutenant General, Engineer Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim affirmed the strength of the Sudanese-Djiboutian relations, and Khartoum's keenness to enhance them in the political and economic fields. He noted in a press statement, after his meeting today with the President of the Republic of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Geili, in the capital, Djibouti, that he briefed President Geili on the objectives of his tour to the IGAD countries, and on the developments in the situation in the organization, and the conferences expected to be held in the organization’s headquarter or in Khartoum on the 30th of current November. He said that he would brief the IGAD heads of state on the food security initiative that was agreed to be implemented, stressing Sudan's readiness for the initiative, in light of the resources it enjoys, and the availability of coordination and support from regional and international organizations. The member of the added that the meeting dealt with areas of cultural cooperation between the two countries, pointing out that most of the Djiboutian ministers graduated in Sudan, which is a great opportunity to enhance cooperation in this field. ta
