Khartoum, June 21 (SUNA) – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, has affirmed the state's concern with strengthening and promoting Sudan foreign relations to serve the country's supreme interests. During his meeting at his office Tuesday with the Ambassadors of Sudan to the Republic of South Africa, and Austria, Magdi Ahmed Mufadal, and Usama Magzoub Hassan, respectively, before their departure to assume their duties, in the presence of the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Al-Saddiq. He stressed the importance of increasing the diplomatic efforts to reflect the bright image of Sudan and to achieve the supreme national interests. He reiterated Sudan commitment to the international charters and agreements that the govern relations between countries, the policy of good neighborliness, and the maintenance of regional peace and security. The new Sudan Ambassador to Austria, Magdi Ahmed Mufadal, said in a press statement that the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council has provided them with directives regarding Sudan foreign policy for the coming period, in addition to a briefing about the internal challenges in the country.
He stressed that they will do their best to achieve the country's supreme interests in the political, economic and diplomatic fields, and to reach the country's supreme goals in completing the democratic transition process. MO
