Khartoum, April 30 (SUNA) - The revenues of the livestock and fish exports amounted to 83. 752.814 dollars during the period from January to April in the current year 2022, announced the General Director of Livestock Quarantines and Meat Health at the Ministry of Animal Resources, Dr. Ali Adam. He said in a press statement that the live livestock exports amounted to 473,287 heads, including 386,000 sheep, 2,593 goats, 42,641 cattle, and 42,40 camels. Dr. Adam explained that 5, 406 tons of fresh meat, 398, 199 pieces of leather, and 75,110 tons of fish were exported during the said period. It is to be noted that the livestock and fish exports and their products contribute to the national economy by 20 - 25%, and come second in the country's total exports, and have a distinguished position in the Gulf and Arab markets and the People's Republic of China.
