Kabbashi meets AU Special Representative

Khartoum, Jan 11 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Lt-General, Shamsuddin Kabbashi met, today, at his office, in the Republican Palace, the African Union Special Representative in Sudan, Ambassador Mohamed Belaich. The AU official pointed out in a press statement that the meeting touched on the best means for reaching national consensus in the country to surpass the current political crisis in Sudan, referring to the efforts being exerted to expand the political base and the participation of all forces to hold transparent and free elections and democracy that will lead to stability, peace and prosperity in the country. He stressed the importance for speeding up the formation of government of competencies, calling on all parties to work out a unified vision that will represent a road map for the remaining period. Ambassador Belaich affirmed the necessity for establishment of the transitional justice to build the new Sudan. IF/IF
