Finance Minister Lauds Support Provided by Islamic Development Bank

Khartoum, Sep. 4 (SUNA) – The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, has praised the great of the Islamic Development Bank in supporting Sudan and its stand alongside Sudan and providing loans to it, the last of which was the loan provided to confront the corona-virus, at an amount of 35 million dollars.
Dr. Jibril is heading Sudan delegation at the meetings of the Islamic Development Bank, accom-panied by the Governor of the Bank of Sudan, Mohamed Al-Fatih Zain Al-Abidin. The minister said that this session provides him with the opportunity to sit on the sidelines of meetings with many Arab countries to achieve understanding on the dealing with Sudan's debts, ways to create a new partnership in light of economic reforms in Sudan and to open up prospects for cooperation and investment in various fields. Jibril said that Sudan is currently in need for technical support to boost the digital economic transformation by taking advantage of the alternative energies, solar and wind energy, adding that Sudan also needs finance for the education and health sector.
