Tashkent, Sep. 4 (SUNA) – The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, has discussed with a group of creditors, on the sidelines of his participation in the meetings of the Islamic Development Bank, the rescheduling the bank's debts to Sudan. The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning headed Sudan delegation participating in the 46th meeting of the Islamic Development Bank’s group during the period September 2 – 4 in Tashkent, the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Sudan delegation to the meetings included the Governor of the Central Bank, Mohamed Al-Fateh Zain Al-Abidin, and representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Sudan. The delegation held a number of meetings on Saturday with the Finance Ministers of Saudi Arabia, the State of Kuwait, the Arab Republic of Egypt, Nigeria and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance in the State of Qatar, in addition to the President of the Islamic Development Bank’s Group, Dr. Mohamed Al-Jasser, and discussed ways of consolidating the economic relations with Sudan and the re-scheduling of Sudan debts.
