Khartoum, Aug. 2 (SUNA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mariam Al-Saddiq Al-Mahdi, received in her office Monday the Ambassador of France to Khartoum, Emmanuelle Blatmann, on the occasion of the expiry of her office term in Sudan. The minister expressed Sudan government's great thanks and appreciation to the French Ambassador for her great efforts to strengthen relations between Sudan and France in various fields, the good preparation of the Paris Conference and the distinguished introduction of the Sudanese revolution and the Sudanese youth to the international community. She praised the increase in the number of partnerships between Sudanese and French universities, and the great role played by the French Center in promoting the cultural cooperation between the peoples of the two countries. On her part, Ms. Platmann expressed her thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the government of Sudan for the good cooperation and the facilitation of her mission in Sudan. She affirmed the full support of France to Sudan and its keenness to standing alongside the government in implementing the priorities of the transitional period and the reintegration of Sudan into the international community.
