Khartoum, April.15 (SUNA) – Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk has lauded the investment framework in the country which presented by the International Development Association (IDA), an arm of the World Bank, that helps Sudan to attract investments according to the government development priorities. This came when Dr. Hamdouk met, Thursday, a delegation representing the IDA headed by the World Bank Country Director, Ousmane Dione in the presence of the Cabinet Affairs Minister Eng. Khaled Omar and Finance Minister, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim. The meeting discussed the IDA investment in Sudan during 2021-2022 which estimated at more than $ 2 billion, especially in energy and agriculture projects, rural roads, sanitation and water networks, with a value of $ 1.2 billion for rural development, and $ 800 million for investment in various fields, including energy networks in the East African region.
