TSC Head meets FIFA President

Khartoum, Feb.22 (SUNA) – The Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Lt-General, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan met, Monday, at his office, in the Republican Palace, the President FIFA, Ganni Infantino in the presence of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Yousef Adam and the Chairman of the Sudan Football Association. FIFA President said in a press statement that the meeting discussed the situation of football in Sudan in the light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, lauding the historical role played by Sudan regarding the establishment of the African Football Association and hosting of the first African Cup. He affirmed FIFA,s support to the Sudan Football Association to rehabilitate and reconstruct Khartoum Stadium. Gianni Infantino called for supporting support women's football, which receives attention from the International Federation, expressing pleasure to visit Sudan. IF/IF
