Khartoum, Feb. 21 (SUNA) - The Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS), Al-Fatih Zain-Alabdin, has announced that the funds allocated for social support by donors will start inflowing as of tomorrow, enumerating the benefits that the Sudanese economy reaps as a result of the decision to unify the exchange rate of the national currency. Responding to journalists' questions at a joint press conference with the Ministers of Finance and Trade on the recent economic decisions today at the premises of the Council of Ministers, the CBOS’ Governor pointed out that the benefits of the decision include also correcting imbalances in the national economy by attracting savings of the Sudanese working abroad, indicating that the decision means creating a managed flexible exchange rate, and not a floating in its known meaning.
