Finance Minister promises end to bread and fuel shortages

Khartoum, Feb. 9 (SUNA) - Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Gebriel Ibrahim has vowed that he would spare no effort till ending shortages in bread and fuel in the country and making available medicines for the citizens at affordable prices. Dr. Ibrahim said in statement over his Twitter account that entrusting him with the portfolio of Finance and Economic Planning in this delicate circumstance the country is going through is a difficult task, “but with the aid of the Almighty Allah first and the cooperation of all sectors of our people and our strategic regional and international partners we will put our economy on the right track.” He added that the stability and growth of the country's economy is of interest not only to the people of Sudan, but also to the economies of the region and the world, pointing out that they look forward for full cooperation of the national private sector to enhance the economy.
