Khartoum, Dec. 14 (SUNA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk congratulated today the Sudanese people on the removal of the name of Sudan from the terrorism list. Dr. Hamdouk said in a statement over his Twitter account “today, after more than two decades, I announce to our people that the name of our beloved country has come out of the list of countries that sponsor terrorism and that we are free from the international and global blockade in which the behavior of the defunct regime had forced us.” The Prime Minister said the move signals return of the Sudan, with its history, the civilization of its people, the greatness of the country and the vigor of its revolution, to the international community as a peace-loving country, and a force supporting regional and international stability. Hamdouk affirmed that this achievement, for which the transitional government has worked since its first day, contributes to reforming the economy, attracting investments and remittances from our citizens abroad through official channels, creating new job opportunities for young people, and many other positives.
