US State Department: Reforms made by Sudan stand as models for other nations to follow
Khartoum, Dec. 8 (SUNA) – The US State Department has announced removal of the name of Sudan from the special watch list concerning religious freedoms because of the reforms adopted by Sudan in the field of religious freedoms. The US State Department has said in a press statement that Sudan and Uzbekistan have been removed from the list based on “significant, concrete progress undertaken by their respective governments over the past year. “Their courageous reforms of their laws and practices stand as models for other nations to follow,” the press statement added.
