Dr. Konda: Efforts will continue for achieving comprehensive peace

Dr. Konda Efforts will continue for achieving comprehensive peace
Khartoum, Oct. 1 (SUNA) - The Prime Minister’s adviser on peace affairs Dr. Gumaa Konda has said that delegations continue to arrive in Juba, capital of South Sudan, from Khartoum and other states, especially Darfur, Blue Nile and South Kordofan as they are considered as stakeholders in the peace agreement between the Sudanese Government and the Revolutionary Front, which is to be signed next Saturday. Dr. Konda expected wide participation in the ceremony of signing the peace agreement in Juba, especially from IGAD and the neighboring and sisterly countries that contributed to the peace process in its various stages, including Chad, United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia besides other countries. He pointed out that the occasion is considered as proof that Sudan is moving from the stage of no-peace no-war which it experienced during the defunct regime to that of start of comprehensive peace, adding that efforts would continue to achieve comprehensive peace by making the remaining armed struggle movements join the process, a matter which is expected in the coming period.
