Workshop on Enlightening Volunteers on Combating Malaria Held In El-Fasher

El-Fasher, Oct.1(SUNA)- Ministry of Health and Social Development in North Darfur State in coordination with Health Development t Program(HDP) organized at the Ministry Head-quarters Tuesday a workshop on enlightening volunteers on outreaching , culture of health and home inspection to fight malaria. Addressing the workshop’s opening sitting, Director of Malaria Combat Department at Ministry of Health in the State, Ahmed Mohamed Ad-Duma appreciated the prompt response of the HDP and its support to the workshop. He unveiled that the high rate of malaria incidence amidst the community posed deep concern for a citizens that necessitated mobilization of official and people efforts to cease spreading of the disease . Ad-Duma added that the poor use of mosquitoes nets and rapid breeding mosquitoes at homes were detrimental to fighting operations , calling on participants to work seriously and to stick to patience, responsibility and commitment to communicate guidance message to community members so as to raise the health awareness. HDP director, Yasser Abbas , for his part, stressed the HDP readiness to support all activities related to outreaching and culture of health through training the volunteers , providing means of culture and organizing exhibitions . It is worth mentioning that the workshop targeted fifty volunteers from the 10 most malaria -affected neighborhoods in El-Fasher. Ab
