Prime Minister Affirms Importance of Sudan - China Cooperation

New York, Sep. 26 (SUNA) - Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdok, has appreciated the historic role of China in supporting Sudan and lauded the historic relations of friendship between the two countries . Dr Hamdok has affired continuation of the economic cooperation between Sudan and China in all fields and settlement of debts in the spirit of friendship between the two countries. This came when he met with the Advisor of China and Head of Chinese delegation for the meetings of UN General Assembly in New York, Wang Yi. The Chinese official praised change occurred in Sudan and congratulated Dr. Hamdok on his assuming to the office of Prime Minister, stressing the continuity of his country's cooperation with Sudan in all the economic domains. He stated that China government will back up Sudan at the international and regional forums and removing the name of Sudan from the list of states sponsoring terrorism, adding that China would fully cooperate over its debts to Sudan in the spirit of the historical friendship between the two countries. ab/MO
