Gedarif State and Amhara Region Discuss Bilateral Relations
Gedarif, July. 15 (SUNA) – The caretaker Wali (governor) of Gedarif State, Gen. Nasr-Eddin Abdul-Gayoum, Monday received at his office the Consul of Ethiopia at Gadarif state. The meeting discussed progress of the relations between Gedarif State and Amhara-Tigray Region, and the relations between Sudan and Ethiopia and the reflection of thise relations on the peoples of two countries. The meeting also discussed situation at the joint border and the joint cooperation to deal with common issues and to combat crossing border crimes and to enhance the trade and the roads between two countries. The Ethiopian Consul praised the distinguished relations between two countries and hosting of Gedarif to displaced Ethiopians in the past previous period, affirming the keenness of his country to maintain the eternal relations between two countries.
