White Nile State announced the achievement of the localization of wheat seed production in order to achieve self-sufficiency in seeds and support other wheat-producing states with surplus seed production, while the state was chosen from among five states to produce the wheat crop in Sudan.
The Acting Minister of Production and Economic Resources in the state, Engineer Al-Sadiq Mohammad Osman, confirmed the availability of success factors for wheat cultivation in the state , saying that the average wheat productivity for some farmers in the previous agricultural season reached twenty sacks per acre.
He appealed during his address of the training course organized to enhance Wheat production, in Kosti, to the private sector to enter into contractual partnerships with farmers in the field of wheat production.
