The Federal Ministry of Health and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) signed a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU) within the framework of health and supply infrastructure, aiming to enhance cooperation between the two parties to reduce the suffering of the citizens of Sudan. The MoU comes within the framework of general strategies and concerted efforts to improve medical services, in addition to opening broader horizons for cooperation in the fields of health.
The Ministry of Health was represented by the Federal Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim and the Director of the United Nations Office for Project Service in Sudan, Munir Jaafar Muhammad, who Signed on behalf of Ms. Worknesh Mekonnen, Head of UNOPS and Director of the Ethiopia Multi-Country Office and UNOPS Representative to the African Union. Areas of cooperation include providing services through a strategic plan during the period (2022 - 2025) in the field of infrastructure rehabilitation, reconstruction and activation of supply chains in the Ministry of Health, in addition to cooperation in the field of strengthening project management systems in the Ministry, besides increasing effective management support services and helping people through supporting effective specialized technical knowledge and supporting countries in increasing their share and influence of resources.
