The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq, said that the visit of Lieutenant General Shams Al-Din Al-Kabbashi, member of the Transitional Sovereignity to the Republic of South Sudan, comes within the framework of Sudan's active role as head of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) and sponsor of the revitalized peace agreement in south Sudan, on ground of the good bilateral relations and history between the two countries. He added that the visit comes to inspect progress of implementing the revitalized peace agreement in south Sudan and to work with the leadership in Juba to resolve any differences or complications that impede the implementation of the agreement’s various aspects. The member of the TSC during his two days visit to Juba will meet with President Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan, his deputy, Dr. Riek Machar, and a number of South Sudan’s officials.
