The Ambassador of the African Union to Sudan, Mohamed Belaiche, has affirmed the willingness of the parties of the Sudanese political process to build confidence in order to move forward to end the file of the political crisis, indicating that dialogue is the right path to overcome all crises. Speaking on behalf of the tripartite mechanism for facilitating the Sudanese dialogue, Ambassador Belaiche said in his address to the inauguration of the final phase of the political process at the Friendship Hall on Sunday that the Sudanese people hope that the political process and this dialogue will yield positive results to resolve the protracted political crisis. He praised the spirit of the Sudanese people in the dialogue, noting that the Sudanese - in many experiences - have drawn the world's attention to the fact that they are reconciling, indicating that this spirit is motivating the framework agreement and the current political process. Belaiche expressed the tripartite mechanism’s hope for success of the political process, and that this dialogue would be the reference for achieving stability in Sudan, considering that the political process is an opportunity to reach a good political consensus and agreement.
The spokesman for the tripartite mechanism pledged their support for the political process led by the Sudanese parties to address outstanding issues, calling for enabling local stakeholders from all over the country to contribute to the process. He stressed that the tripartite mechanism will work with all parties to make the dialogue and the political process a success.
