Kamil Idris meets NUP delegation, stresses importance of consultation with political forces
Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris stressed the importance of consultation and exchange of advice with political forces to achieve political, societal, and livelihood stability. He reiterated the civilian Government of Hope's commitment to supporting citizens and their needs, and that it will serve the people. Dr. Kamil Idris held an expanded meeting on Tuesday at the Cabinet Hall in Port Sudan with the National Umma Party's (NUP) Presidency, headed by Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al-Doma, the party's acting president.
The meeting was attended by party heads from the states and the party's factional offices, including women, youth, professionals, and those mobilized in the ranks of the popular resistance.
The Prime Minister indicated that the Government of Hope was a government of projects for a limited period, concerned with the security and livelihood of citizens, welcoming the NUP initiative to unify the national ranks.
The meeting discussed the party's vision for achieving stability during the transitional period, by supporting the armed forces to achieve victory and assisting the Government of Hope in ensuring the success of transitional projects and plans. During the meeting, party speakers emphasized the need to strengthen joint action to achieve free and fair elections that reflect the will of the people. They noted that the country needs a comprehensive national project that unites political forces, expressing their full support for the country's national institutions.
The meeting affirmed that the country's future is built on the foundation of consensus, justice, and partnership among all citizens.
